What do you show, for example, when using augmented videos?

With Augmented Reality, you can display various so-called ‘AR elements’ when a user scans printed material with an AR app. A frequently used element is video. This allows you to add a huge amount of extra information to that single image in your printed material. But what exactly can you show in your video?

What to show with an augmented video?

Virtual tour of the house and the surroundings

Guided Tour

In the spirit of ‘transparency’, which is currently so important: give a tour of your company and give your business relations a ‘look behind the scenes’. But also perfect for the housing market. Show a tour of the house for sale, showcase the neighborhood. This way, potential buyers immediately experience much more than just that one printed image.

Production process

It is very nice for the customer to be able to see the entire production process of the product they are interested in. So, it is great to create (or have created) a beautiful video compilation showing the product being manufactured step-by-step.

Very nice to show from a quote; the customer immediately sees what he is paying for.

Company Info

Many companies have a ready-made corporate video. It is also always nice to show one from, for example, your business card. Or to show one from a quotation (folder).

Interviews

In magazines or brochures covering various topics, it can be great fun to let employees, experts, or even enthusiastic customers have their say and promote a product or service.

Personal message from Arjen Robben

Personal message

Another nice application is to send a personal message to your business contacts using a video from your printed materials.

For example, the director could record his ‘New Year’s speech’ so that employees can view it using an AR app from the employee newsletter or a New Year’s card. Or consider an ‘augmented’ contribution from the director or finance officer actually IN the annual report? Where the figures and future expectations are clearly explained?

But also perfect for special books that gain added value through personal messages, such as the Arjen Robben books.

Product Manual

Create a video with clear instructions and examples regarding the operation or assembly of the product. It would be great to use the product packaging itself as an image to scan!

Fun tips

Of course, it is always fun to give special tips to your audience via a video. Think, for example, of a video in which a chef prepares a dish for which only a photo and the ingredients currently appear in a magazine. He can explain cooking times and methods, and give tips on pairing wines, to name just a few examples.

Have a film made?

It is, of course, nice to have a partner with experience in the field of augmented videos. We are happy to collaborate with Blue Media for this.
