Visible Body
Visible Body was launched in 2008. This is actually a collection of five independently available apps, intended to learn about the human body, largely through 3D models.
The Human Anatomy Atlas
Probably the most impressive of the Visible Body apps is the Human Anatomy Atlas. It is updated annually.
When using the augmented reality app, interactive 3D models are displayed on any flat surface the mobile device is pointed at. Within the model, you can navigate through various layers or cross-sections down to the microanatomy of special organs. The 3D models are sometimes accompanied by text, illustrations, or photos to help the user better understand the material.
